Photography Session Information

Our style of photography results in a collection of images that speak to your families unique beauty and connection. Through our Lifestyle approach, we combine classic portraiture with documentary photography to capture the true essence of your family dynamics. Your session will include a mix of beautiful posed portraiture as well as dynamic, candid art of your family at play. Our photographic style is often referred to as vibrant and dramatic but as professional photographers, we are able to also provide images that are bright, airy and full of color. We are flexible with our shooting style to provide you with exactly what you want in your photographic art!

How Our Photo Sessions Work!

1. Pre-Session Consultation

For your pre-session consultation, we will meet at our studio or at your home, whichever is most convenient for you, where we will discuss your goals for the session. We will talk about what you want to see in your photography and what style of photography you would like to receive. We will discuss where your session will take place and ideas about what to wear during your session. We love questions and are happy to answer any questions you may have about your session. If you book your session with us, your non-refundable session retainer will be collected at that time to secure your date and time. The session fee is for studio time and does not include digital rights to reprint or any artwork unless otherwise specified. The amount that each client spends varies with the average client spending between $800 to $1200 on their heirloom artwork. We will provide the digital images for all purchased prints of 11X14 and larger at no additional cost and stand-alone digital images can be purchased. We believe that your memories are meant to be in print and while digital rights to reproduce are available for purchase, it is our goal to provide archival wall art and albums to showcase your family memories and legacy.

2. Your Photography Session

Each photography session is booked for two hours to allow time to capture all of the beautiful images that you desire. Your session time may vary depending on your family dynamics and how involved each family member is. As parents ourselves, we understand that children can be unpredictable and it can take extra time to get your beautiful images. Nothing to fear though because we are great at working with the little ones!

3. Reveal and Order Consultation

You can expect your finished images to be ready to view no later than 3 weeks after your photography session. At this time, we will meet at our studio or in your home, again whichever is most convenient for you, to view your images. We will guide you through the process of selecting the perfect art for your home. We will discuss different matting and printing processes as well as products such as metallic prints, wraps, canvases and albums. Precious Imagery offers a beautiful array of fine art display options to showcase your family memories.

We recommend that your session be booked for that beautiful Golden Hour time of the day when the sun is setting and the colors are vibrant and warm. Sunset light is gorgeous and makes for some stunning images!

Our goal is to take the stress out of family photography for you. Our sessions are fun, laid back, and meaningful. Most families say they are surprised by how much fun they have when we meet to make their images. Our style focuses on your unique family connection.

For family and maternity sessions we meet at one of the incredible El Paso locations our gorgeous city has to offer, however some families choose to have their sessions in the home or studio.

For newborn sessions we meet in the comfort of your home or at our home studio.
